The lightning bolt is the universal symbol for electricity (and rock’n’roll), but going further back it also has a symbolism in Greek mythology – Zeus (God of the Sky) carried a double-headed axe to symbolise lightning. This was to represent the dual aspect of the lightning bolt – it is dangerous, but it also brings rain to replenish the land, it can destroy but it can also create. The pendant looks great worn alone on a chain, or try layering with other necklaces.
