Description
Pearl measures 12 mm x 11 mm, bail measures 7 mm tall.
Black pearls are produced from the black lip oyster and vary in shades of grey with overtones of green, pink and yellow. Naturally occurring black pearls are incredibly rare and hard to find, so cultured pearls are a high quality and more reasonably priced alternative. The pearls you see here are cultured in seawater, not to be confused with the lesser quality freshwater pearls. This shape of this pearl is called keishi, which means they are irregularly shaped and each one is unique. Pearls are kept most lustrous when worn next to the skin, but when you are not wearing the pendant keep it in a jewellery box or pouch. Pearls can be affected by makeup, self tanning products, perfume and hairspray, so it is best to apply any products first then add your pearl afterwards.
